Regional All-Star teams gear up for The Emirates Airline USA Rugby All Star 7s Tournament
NEW YORK – USA RUGBY announced that, in conjunction with the Metropolitan New York

rugby Football Union, they will host The Emirates Airline USA Rugby All-Star 7s Tournament

on Randall's Island, NYC for the second year in a row. The pool of All-Star players will come

together for this tournament on August 28th and 29th 2010.

Morris Flag Rugby Festival Attempts World Record

On Saturday July 24, 2010, Morris Rugby will attempt to break the world record for the largest ever youth flag rugby festival.  The Daily Record reported in detail on their plan to take the world record.  Here's a link to the article. 

The event takes places on no less than 23 different fields at the Black River Fields in Chester, NJ.  Good luck to Morris Rugby, the organizers and all the kids playing.

Met New York Mens Teams Make NRU Finals in All Divisions
We're thrilled to report that after a record number of Met New York teams qualified for NRU playoffs, Met NY teams will vie for NRU Championships in all mens divisions tomorrow on Randall's Island.
 
Today's results are:
Division 1: Met NY1 Old Blue over NERFU2 New Haven 44-20; and NERFU1 Mystic over Met NY2 New York 30-7.
Division 2: Met NY1 Bayonne over Met NY2 Montauk 42-21, and NERFU1 Middlesex over Met NY3 Monmouth.
Division 3: Met NY1 North Jersey over NERFU2 North Shore RFC, 42-15; and NYS1 Buffalo over NERFU1 Boston Irish Wolfhounds 22-11.

NRU Championships conclude tomorrow, Sunday, November 22, as follows:
 
11:00AM   Division 3 Championship: North Jersey v Buffalo, Field 74, Division 1 Consolation Final New Haven v New York RC, Field 75.

12:30 PM   Division 2 Championship: Bayonne v Middlesex, Field 74, Division 3 Consolation Final Boston Irish Wolfhounds v North Shore RFC, Field 75.

2:00 PM   Division 1 Championship: Old Blue v Mystic, Field 74, Division 2 Consolation Final Montauk v Monmouth, Field 75.
