Village Lions Women's RFC Seeks New Head Coach

The Village Lions Women's RFC is seeking a head coach for Fall 2008. Founded in 2000, this Division II club has qualified for the D-II National Tournament four times (2002, 2004, 2005, 2007) since then, most recently placing 6th in the nation in 2007.
We are seeking a head coach with some previous coaching experience and/or high level playing experience to continue the momentum of our growing club, including a burgeoning b-side. We would like to have candidates coach at least one practice in the spring, perhaps staying on for the remainder of the spring if there is a good fit.

Please contact Jess Henck at jessihk@hotmail.com if you're interested.

What we are looking for:
--previous coaching experience and/or high level playing experience
--USAR certification or willingness to become certified
--good one on one as well as group player management skills
--articulation of philosophy and strategic vision
--commitment to attend practices and games regularly

What you can expect from us:
--a committed group of 25+ women at practices and games
--enthusiasm for new approaches and ideas
--wide variety of skill and experience levels - from beginner to Women's National Team
--team leadership and systems in place, flexibility to change as necessary
--host of the largest 15's tournament in NYC
--part of a larger club that includes old boys, men, women, and a growing old girls team
--a rugby family
