As stated in
a previous
notice, we
had planned
to have a
meeting this
Sunday
January
8th. It
should be
noted that
when we sent
out the
first notice
for this
meeting the
due date for
schedules
was December
15th!
As of this
morning, we
have only
received
schedules
from most of
the high
schools, but
ONLY 4 clubs
and
one
college.
Because the
intent of
the meeting
was to
discuss
scheduling,
assigning,
and
recruiting
of referees
it is
pointless to
have a
meeting this
Sunday with
such a low
number of
schedules to
work with.
Therefore,
please note
the
following
NEW MEETING
DATE -
SUNDAY,
FEBRUARY
5th, XAVIER
HIGH SCHOOL
-
Noon - 2:00
PM
ALL CLUBS
AND COLLEGES
MUST ATTEND
THIS MEETING
ALL
SCHEDULES
ARE DUE
ASAP!
SCHEDULES
MUST BE
RECEIVED BY
END OF DAY,
FRIDAY
FEBRUARY
3RD.
We plan to
publish the
schedule for
use at
the meeting
so schedules
received
after
February 3rd
will not get
any priority
in
assignments.
We will be
discussing
the
following
items that
the clubs
will be
required to
provide in
order to
receive
referee
services for
the coming
year. These
items will
be described
in detail in
the
following
pages:
·
Referee
recruiting –
club,
college,
high school
requirements
·
Guidelines
for
confirming
referees and
sanctions
for failure
to do so
·
Guidelines
for
scheduling
matches and
for changing
dates once
the schedule
has been
set.
·
Financial
Obligations
of the clubs
(society
dues,
expenses,
tournament
fees)
ONCE
AGAIN, ATTENDANCE
AT THIS
MEETING IS
MANDATORY.
A club must
send a
representative
to the
meeting with
the
information
required or
will not get
referee
services for
the spring
season.
CLUB
REFEREE LIST
As the clubs
are well
aware, they
must supply
a ref (or
refs) to be
available
for a
specified
number of
matches
in the
Spring and
Fall. We
have
reviewed the
"Club Ref"
list that is
on the
website.
Below is the
list of Club
Referees we
consider
"Current" (that
is, they
have reffed
at some
point in the
last year).
You will
note that
some of your
member whom
you MAY have
considered
club
referees are
not
listed.
That is
because they
have not
refereed in
the last
year and
are no
longer eligible.
Please
review the
attached
list and on
January 8th,
be prepared
to either
confirm that
they are
still your
club
referee, or
if you have
a
replacement.
The
following
guidelines
also apply
to "club
referee"
status:
A) Any "new"
refs must
take the
upcoming
Level 1
Referee Clinic.
B) Current
RRSNY
referees who
are "full
time" DO NOT
count
towards a
filling a
club's
requirement
for
referees
More
information
will be sent
as we get
closer to
the
meeting.
Please do
not hesitate
to contact
any
of us if you
have any
questions.
Sincerely
