After crossing the
continent, time zones and
security check points, both
NYAC and Old Blue eventually
made it to Chuckanut,
Washington with a full squad
to represent the Met Union
in the 7s Nationals.
NYAC did not fare as well
as they went 1-2 in pool
play and were thus relegated
to Bowl competition where
they were knocked out of the
weekend's competition by
PAC.
Old Blue started the day
today with an early
morning 0-22 loss to heavily
favored OMBAC. The match
was closer than the score
indicated.
Needing to finish strong in
pool play, Old Blue made
liars of the prognosticators
and finished the day with
two upset wins over Fort
Worth Elite Black 19-14 and
Potomac Athletic Club
21-17. Old Blue led each
game with the opponent
scoring late to make the
score respectable.
Old Blue continues in the
quarter finals Sunday
morning with a 9:00 match
against surprise Pool A
winner Scioto Valley. Old
Blue's next opponent will
either be Denver or Daytona.
