FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MORRISTOWN, New Jersey, April 15th — The Men’s Morris Rugby Football Club continued their surge towards the Jersey Cup on Saturday with two convincing wins over Division 1, Bayonne RFC at the Swim and Soccer Club field in Flanders NJ. The first 15 players took the day with strong play and a mistake-free second half. Once again led by their veteran leadership and a strong showing from the young talent the Lion's posted a 27-18 victory for their third consecutive win and second win against Bayonne in as many matches. Leon Perez of Denville, NJ took home the man of the match mug for captaining a complete victory in every phase of the game. The second 15 also put in a very strong effort, defeating Bayonne 24-22. The first 15 will take a week off playing their next match on April 29, 2006 home against South Jersey. The second 15 will play an exhibition match against Drew University this Saturday at Drew. The Morris Women were off this weekend, but will resume play on Sat April 22nd with a home game at SSC against the visiting Brandywine from PA.
