Bard College is forming a Women's Collegiate
Rugby Team

Please be advised that Bard College is forming a Women's Collegiate Rugby Team that will participate in the Met. NY Rugby Union Division II this Fall - 2006.

It has been common practice that a new club have the Union dues waived the first year (Fall semester) to allow them additional funds for start-up expenses.

Adding Bard College Women to the Division II schedule this Fall means that there will now be 9 teams in Division II. But since the Fall 2006 Schedule has already been approved I have not changed any of the scheduled games as presented in February. I have added 1 game to each schedule to allow Bard to participate.

It does mean that each team (except Marist Women who have a Wed. game) will have 1 weekend when they will play on a Saturday and a Sunday. I know that this is not ideal but I hope that all clubs will accept that this is an exception and we want to accommodate a new team. All teams in the division now have 4 home and 4 away games.
