In addition to programs playing contact rugby, many Met member clubs operate highly successful flag rugby programs for kids who are not ready for tackling.  Morris, Bayonne, Monmouth, Ridgewood, Union and Rockaway all run such programs, with Morris and Union's programs currently the largest.  PlayRugby also runs many flag rugby programs in New York City elementary, middle and some high schools.  www.playrugbyusa.org
